Wednesday, May 17, 2017 was a banner year for NEAHMA’s One – Day Extensive Training for Managers and Maintenance Professionals!
We were excited to be able to offer this event due to the overwhelming demand for Maintenance training in our industry. Our day began with a tasty continental breakfast sponsored by Burgess Pest Control and The Norfolk Companies.
Over 500 Maintenance and Management professionals learned a variety of topics throughout the day. The goal was to gain a wealth of experience from Appliance Repairs, Landscaping and Xeriscaping, Risk Management to Fair Housing, Bridging the Gap between Property Managers and Maintenance Professionals. Other session choices included Sustainability, Trauma/Bio Hazard/ Mold, Asbestos and Lead Paint, Playground Safety, Preventive Maintenance and REAC. There were so many great sessions to experience!
And if the education wasn’t enough, there was a delicious stadium buffet lunch sponsored by Flynn Law Group and Pro-Care and afternoon drinks by IGS Solar Power and how can we forget dessert which was sponsored by HUB International? It was an amazing day overall.
We then honored and recognized our Colleagues who earned their NAHMT, NAHMS, CGPM, NAHP and NAHP-e Designations. It is amazing to see people get the recognition they deserve after all of their hard work. If you too wish to learn about the designations, please visit www.neahma.org for more information. After attending the full day, you too are half way to earning your maintenance designation. Hold on to your Continuing Education Units (CEUs), that you received at each session. They will be important later when you fill out your application for your designation. If you are missing any please contact the NEAHMA Office. Next year we could be honoring you!
NEAHMA would like to extend a very special thank you to our Main Event Sponsors; ARS Restoration Specialists, HD Supply and Sherwin Williams. We cannot forget to thank our Program Book Sponsor, The Law Offices of Catherine Downing and Associates and our Lanyard Sponsor, Smart Coats. Thank you to all of the countless people whose time and efforts went in to planning this event. Without the volunteers, trainers and sponsors, this event would not have been possible. Thank you.
Now we look forward to next year. Please save the date! The Annual One-Day Extensive Training for Managers and Maintenance Professionals is coming to the Gillette Stadium near you on May 16, 2018.
