TRACS 101 Beginner
This training will provide participants with a practical approach to the TRACS system, including TRACS compliance, best practice recommendations and basic troubleshooting tips. An introduction will provide an overview of HUD’s Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System, including a discussion of the Monthly Activity Transmission, commonly referred to as the MAT. Next, we will take an in depth look at Tenant and Voucher MAT record types as well as discuss MAT record format requirements. We will review MAT error messages and discuss tips and tricks for resolving TRACS errors, which will include a review of MAT transmission protocols as well as a recommended TRACS monthly workflow. Finally, we will take an in depth look at the Internet applications provided by the Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System.
