This session will be useful for property managers, assistant managers, resident service coordinators and maintenance persons.
More and more residents are informed by other residents or housing agencies of the places they can go and formally complaint about the Management Team in a property. Are you documenting every incident? How do you protect yourself from some of the creative stories that they have against you?

In the class we will discuss legal matters in Management including Evictions, Commission of Human Rights and Housing complaints – how to prepare the staff to handle these cases better. Timing is of the essence, how to follow up these legal cases and not waste time. Going to court with a legal representation that has knowledge of your cases is essential. They will also bring examples of cases (for legal reasons – no names of properties and or residents will be provided in those examples).
