David Jannetty is a security and emergency preparedness consultant and has conducted active shooter training and emergency planning at various schools and housing complexes in Connecticut and New York.
David is currently the program chair for the B.S. in Emergency Management & Homeland Security program at Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut. He also serves as a member of the Threat Assessment Team at Post University and as the safety coordinator at St. Mary Magdalen School in Oakville, Connecticut. Further, he is a firearms instructor and reserve police officer for the Middlebury, Connecticut Police Department.
David holds a masters degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven and an advanced graduate certificate in Terrorism Studies from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He retired from the Waterbury, Connecticut Police Department in 2012 as the Assistant Deputy Chief and Officer-In-Charge of the Uniform Bureau. David is a graduate of the FBI LEEDA Command Institute, PERF Senior Management Institute for Police, and the Southern Police Institute Chief Executive Leadership Program. He resides in Watertown, Connecticut with his wife and children. His passions are coaching youth baseball, hiking, and enjoying the great outdoors.
