Preventing and Preparing for Violence at Your Property

September 18, 2014 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

| $15

“Work Place Violence”. “Active Shooter”. We have heard these terms all too often in relation to malls, movie theaters, offices and schools.
In Connecticut, we have had more than our share of senseless acts of violence. As property professionals, we will often find ourselves being on the front line for these types of events and First Responders will often look to us for initial information and assistance.

Please join NEAHMA on Thursday, September 18, 2014 when Connecticut State Police Trooper Steven Reif, Fairfield Police Department Lt. James Perez, and Doug Pesce from the US Department of Homeland Security will present information pertaining to these very real issues. They will discuss topics such as “Signs of Conflict”, “Mental Conditioning”, and “Violence Indicators” as well as things to expect should an actual event occur on one of your sites.
It is our hope that through this presentation, you will have the building blocks necessary to begin a conversation with your clients, customers, owners and employers/employees about preventing and preparing for unthinkable acts of violence. The time to discuss and plan for these types of situations is not after an event has happened, but rather before.
